Privacy policy

By the Fish for Silver Singles editorial teamUpdated · 3 min read

This notice covers the website at fishforsilversingles.com: the guides and information pages you're reading now. It does not cover the members' area at members.fishforsilversingles.com, where you sign up, log in and use the dating service. That has its own members' privacy policy.

Last updated: 17 October 2026.

Who we are

This website is run by High Intent Media Inc, a Delaware corporation (file no. 10670515), registered office 16192 Coastal Highway, Lewes, DE 19958, USA. High Intent Media Inc is the data controller for the personal data this website handles.

What this website collects

Very little.

  • No cookies. This website does not set cookies.
  • No advertising or tracking scripts. We don't run advertising, analytics trackers, social media pixels or similar scripts on this website.
  • Server logs. The website is hosted by Vercel. When you visit, Vercel's servers record standard technical information, such as your IP address, your browser type and the page you requested. This is used to keep the website secure and running properly, for example to spot attacks and fix errors. Vercel handles this data under its own privacy policy.
  • Join boxes. Some pages have a box where you can type your email address to start signing up. If you use it, your email address is sent to the members' area at members.fishforsilversingles.com/join so that you can create an account. From that point it is handled under the members' privacy policy. This website doesn't keep a separate copy.

We don't ask for, and this website doesn't collect, anything else: no names, no dates of birth, no photos, no payment details. All of that belongs to the members' area.

Why we use it

We use server log data because we have a legitimate interest in keeping this website secure, available and working. When you type your email into a join box, it's sent on because you've asked to start creating an account.

Where the data goes

Vercel is based in the United States, and so is the company that runs this website. Technical log data may therefore be processed in the US. Where UK or EU data protection law applies to that transfer, it is made under the safeguards that law requires.

How long we keep it

Server logs are kept by Vercel for a limited period set by its own policies. We don't combine them with any other data. Email addresses typed into a join box are kept by the members' area under the members' privacy policy.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, data protection law gives you rights over your personal data. Under UK GDPR and the EU GDPR these include the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to how it's used, and to complain to a regulator. Several US states give similar rights to their residents.

Because this website holds so little, most requests will be about your member account, which the members' area handles. For anything about this website, contact us through the members' help centre and say that your request is about fishforsilversingles.com.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to your data protection regulator. In the UK that's the Information Commissioner's Office. In Ireland it's the Data Protection Commission. Elsewhere in the EU, it's your national data protection authority.

Our guides link to official sources, such as GOV.UK, the police and fishing authorities. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.

Children

This website and the dating service are for adults aged 18 and over.

Changes to this notice

If we change how this website handles data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If we ever add cookies or analytics, we'll say so here first.
